MY VISIT TO THE BIOMUSEO - PANAMA

Published by Tony Vergara.

September 08, 2017.

In the middle of the city in sight of nationals and foreigners you will find one of the most beautiful architectural works of the region.

I must confess that it was my first visit since its opening. My first impression was astonished, we were received by people very willing and qualified and with the indisputable smile that characterizes us all Panamanians.

After meeting with Jorge Vargas, the person in charge of photographing the lookbook and Isabela Mas, model and new muse. We decided to choose the locations for the photos at that time we were approached by Deyanira Álvarez, communications assistant, who accompanied us throughout the tour.

The photos of the Lookbook Fall 2017 were captured in the iconic spaces that houses that has the Biomuseo, each according to the looks and to some extent, contrasted between the blocks of color and the foundations of polished concrete.

It was always a dream for me to register a runway or photographs on this site, but the opportunity had not been given until the theme of the collection coincided with biodiversity, as this collection that is inspired by birds and vegetation of Panama, is related to the forms of the suferficial structure of the museum.

The Biomuseo turned out to be more incredible than I imagined, I can confess that, from the entrance to the exit. I felt that feeling that I experienced when I met the Pitti Palace Museum in Florence, Italy; or when I first saw La Gioconda at the Louvre Museum in Paris. It is a unique and highly sensitive experience. Panamanians should be proud that such a work has been erected on national soil, since the possibilities of culturing and creating opportunities through these sanctuaries of culture and knowledge are endless.

This work designed by Frank Gehry, is a jewel and it is our duty as citizens, to communicate that this work exists in Panama but above all visit it.
